Pick a country and a year — get a fresh Unity Connection holiday schedule you can import in one go. CSV format for bulk import, plus a printable list for the annual calendar refresh.
Most Unity Connection holiday schedules are set once at install and never touched. That's why callers reach the main greeting on December 25th and complain to the IT director on December 26th. The fix is a 10-minute annual refresh: generate a holiday list for the coming year, import as CSV in Unity, assign to the Holiday schedule on every auto-attendant. Do it in the first week of January and you're covered for 12 months.
Pick a country + year, click Generate holiday schedule.
A single Unity schedule references the full list of holidays.
Each auto-attendant's Holiday handler points to this one schedule.
In January, regenerate for the new year and re-import.
The holiday schedule failure mode is almost always one of three things. One: the schedule exists but no call handler references it, so Unity treats the holiday like a business day. Two: the schedule references dates in the past (2022, 2023) because no one regenerated it, so today looks like a normal business day even though it's Memorial Day. Three: the date is correct but the time window is wrong — Unity treats holidays as all-day closures only if the entry covers midnight-to-midnight. A half-day Christmas Eve entry that covers 12:00–17:00 means the morning until noon is still "open."
Our generator emits each holiday as a full-day closure (00:00–23:59) unless you've flagged it as a half-day "eve," in which case it covers 12:00–23:59. This matches the most common corporate pattern. Import as CSV via Tools → Holiday Schedules → Import CSV, or add entries manually one at a time through Tools → Schedules → Edit → Add Date. Bulk CSV import is dramatically faster for 10+ entries.
Keep one schedule per holiday set (US Holidays, UK Holidays) and reuse across all auto-attendants. Do not create per-handler copies — you'll forget one during annual refresh and callers to that handler will hear the wrong greeting.
Unity doesn't — you give it explicit dates. Our tool resolves every floating holiday (MLK Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving) to a calendar date for the year you pick.
Yes. Unity Connection accepts holiday CSV via Tools → Holiday Schedules → Import. Our CSV matches the expected 3-column format: name, start_date, end_date (with start = 00:00 and end = 23:59 for full-day closures).
Yes — a US site gets Sched_Holiday_US and a UK site gets Sched_Holiday_UK. Per-site auto-attendants reference the appropriate one.
Toggle "half-day eves" — generator emits a 12:00–23:59 window that afternoon.
Country = US, corporate days off, include day-after-Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve half-day.
Country = UK, bank holidays = 8. No corporate extras.
Per region — US + UK + CA + AU schedules, each in its own Unity Schedule object.
Our UC Modernization Sprint redesigns your Unity auto-attendants, greetings, and holiday rules — and migrates you off older Unity versions in the same window.
