What this tool does

Stop reporting everything to everyone

CUIC ships with 50+ stock UCCX reports. Most admins "turn on" all of them and mail everyone every day — a pattern that produces 30 MB of unread PDFs per week and zero decisions. This tool picks the right 5–8 reports per audience (exec, supervisor, agent, ops), sets appropriate cadence, and pins the metrics that actually drive behavior.

How to read your result

Five report → audience rules

1

Exec

Weekly SLA trend only. One chart, no detail.

2

Supervisor

Daily by-agent occupancy + adherence. Real-time wallboard.

3

Agent

Monthly personal scorecard. Talk time, AHT, wrap-up.

4

Ops

System health daily. DB growth, port utilization, errors.

Deep dive

Why reports get ignored

A UCCX reporting pack fails when the wrong metric reaches the wrong audience. Execs don't want AHT per agent — they want SLA trend with red/green. Supervisors don't want a 30-day summary — they want today's occupancy in real-time. Agents don't want an ops dashboard — they want their own personal numbers.

CUIC Historical vs Real-time matters too. Historical reports run against the database and can go back months but are slow. Real-time dashboards run against the live UCCX engine state and refresh every 10 seconds. For supervisor wallboards, always use Real-time. For everything else, Historical — Real-time history goes back only 15 minutes.

Cisco's best-practice ratio: 1 exec report, 3 supervisor reports, 1 agent report, 2 ops reports. Don't exceed 8 active reports per deployment — anything more means you're reporting for audit rather than for action.

FAQ

Common questions

Can I customize a stock CUIC report?

Yes — save a copy, edit filters. Premium license required for custom SQL-based reports.

What's the retention on UCCX historical data?

Default 365 days. Configurable in Tools → Purge Configuration. Size your database accordingly.

Can I export to PowerBI?

Indirectly — export CUIC to CSV, import to PowerBI. Cisco doesn't publish a direct connector.

Why does my scheduled report not email?

Check SMTP config in CUIC Admin, and check the user account running the schedule has valid email in UCCX Admin user details.
